This proposal does not solve the problem
The proposal by Minister Kajsa Ollongren of the Home Affairs and Kingdom Relations allows for the introduction of an acquisition protection for affordable homes in an area. Although the cities are pleased that attention is being paid to the issue, they believe the proposal does not go far enough. They find the three-year term too short because the housing market scarcity will certainly not be over in three years, they argue. Therefore, there should be no time limit on the measure, not even because there is a risk that a property will still be sold to an investor after three years.
